- Description: शिवप्रसाद मिश्र ‘रुद्र' काशिकेय काशी के साहित्यकारों की गौरवशाली परम्परा के महत्त्वपूर्ण हस्ताक्षर हैं। बहुआयामी व्यक्तित्व से सम्पन्न रुद्र जी उत्कृष्ट कवि, प्रखर कथाकार, सिद्धहस्त नाटककार, कुशल मंच अभिनेता, अध्येता, काशिका के उन्नायक यशस्वी पत्रकार एवं विशिष्ट सम्पादक के समवेत रूप थे। रुद्र साहित्य पर ग़ौर करें तो पाते हैं कि उनकी काव्य-साधना एक दस्तावेज़ है। हिन्दी साहित्य में विशुद्ध हिन्दी ग़ज़ल-लेखन की एक मुकम्मल परम्परा रुद्र की ‘ग़ज़लिका' से ही प्रारम्भ होती है। इसमें हिन्दी की भावभूमि पर उर्दू का तर्ज़ेबयाँ मिलता है। लघु कलेवर में रचित ‘तुलसीदास' खंडकाव्य हो या गीत एवं विविध बोलियों में अनेक प्रकार की कविताएँ सभी अपने समय की जटिलताओं से टकराते एक भिन्न प्रकार के आस्वाद से परिचय कराते हैं। एक गद्यकार के रूप में रुद्र जी अपनी उत्कृष्ट भाव-व्यंजना, विलक्षण शैली एवं मौलिक सर्जनात्मकता के कारण हिन्दी के प्रमुख गद्यकारों में अपना विशिष्ट स्थान रखते हैं। इनके गद्य में काव्यात्मक कल्पना-चारुता के साथ ही एक गत्यात्मक शिल्प-सौन्दर्य उपस्थित है जो उसकी उत्कृष्टता को द्योतित करता है। ग़ौरतलब है कि रुद्र जी सर्वप्रथम कवि रहे हैं, इसलिए उनका कवि-हृदय उनके समूचे साहित्य में प्रतिबिम्बित है। गद्य के सभी रूपों—उपन्यास, कहानी, नाटक, व्यंग्यालेख, निबन्ध, संस्मरण, रेखाचित्र एवं समीक्षा को उन्होंने सफलता के साथ पुष्पित एवं पल्लवित किया है। इन सभी में उनका प्रत्युत्पन्नमतित्व, लोकसम्पृक्ति एवं स्थानीय रंगत विद्यमान है। ‘रुद्र रचनावली' को विधाओं के आधार पर चार खंडों में विभाजित किया गया है; जैसे—काव्य-साहित्य, गद्य-साहित्य, कथा-साहित्य एवं सम्पादित साहित्य। ‘रचनावली’ का यह पहला खंड काव्य-साहित्य पर केन्द्रित है। इसके अन्तर्गत ब्रजभाषा, खड़ी बोली, मिश्रित बोली, काशिका (बनारसी बोली) की कविताएँ हैं। इस खंड में रुद्र जी की प्रकाशित कविताओं के साथ कुछ अप्रकाशित कविताओं को भी सम्मिलित किया गया है। गीतों के अन्तर्गत उनके अप्रकाशित गीतों को रखा गया है। साथ ही, इस खंड में उनके चर्चित लघु खंडकाव्य ‘तुलसी', ग़ज़लों का संग्रह ‘ग़ज़लिका' एवं 'गीत गोविन्द' के काव्यानुवाद को क्रमवार रखा गया है। यह ‘रचनावली' कई दृष्टियों से विशिष्ट है। पहला यह कि रुद्र जी के साहित्य का समग्रता में मूल्यांकन हो सके और दूसरा यह कि जिस ‘रुद्र’ को साहित्य-जगत में एकमात्र कृति 'बहती गंगा’ में समेटकर रख दिया गया है, इस मिथ को तोड़ा जा सके और जाना जा सके कि रुद्र जी ने हिन्दी साहित्य को अपनी लेखनी द्वारा अल्प समय में ही बहुत कुछ दिया है।

These ‘contradictions’ first appeared in the early 1970s when local political forces in 7 to 8 states formed their own ‘united governments’ and offered localist alternatives to the ‘Centrist’ Congress policies. Linguistic and local cultural identities made this change possible. In the Centre too, two non-Congress parties and local parties formed governments. In the era of globalisation, this tendency of decentralisation became even more forceful and compelling. Perhaps that is why even now that Congress ‘centralism’ has been replaced by BJP, many localist identities keep clashing with BJP’s centralism as well. Aaku Srivastava critically examines the various dimensions of this fundamental contradiction of Indian politics. And they tell that this contradiction is due to ‘internal contradiction’ of our contemporary politics, which apparently appears to be a ‘curse for democracy’ but indirectly it seems to keep democracy alive.
