- Description: पंडित विद्यानिवास मिश्र के साहित्य का बहुआयामी विस्तार मुख्यत: निबन्ध-विधा में ही फलीभूत हुआ है। इस विधा में जितना काम उन्होंने किया है और इस विधा से जितना बड़ा काम उन्होंने लिया है, उतना हिन्दी में शायद ही किसी और से सम्भव हुआ हो। देश-दुनिया, सभ्यता-समाज, धर्म-संस्कृति, इतिहास, राजनीति, भाषाशास्त्र, साहित्यशास्त्र, कला समेत सभी कुछ को उन्होंने निबन्ध में समेटा है। एक लेखक के रूप में उन्होंने अपनी निष्ठा सदैव पाठक के प्रति रखी। वह पाठक जिसे उन्होंने बल-विद्या-बुद्धि किसी भी मामले में अपने से घटकर नहीं माना। उनका पाठक उन्हीं की तरह उनके गाँव-घर का है, और अपनी व्याप्ति में पूरे संसार का। उनके निबन्धों में जो व्यक्तित्व व्यंजित हुआ है, वह जितना अपना है, उतना ही उनके पाठक का भी। एक नितान्त गँवई व्यक्तित्व जिसके लिए जीव-जन्तु, नदी, पेड़, पहाड़ ऋतु का भी अपना व्यक्तित्व है। विद्या बोझ न बन जाए, इसके प्रति उनकी प्रतिश्रुति इतनी प्रबल है कि समीक्षा, साहित्येतिहास और काव्यशास्त्र आदि क्षेत्रों में अत्यन्त महत्त्वपूर्ण कार्यों के बावजूद उन्होंने आग्रहपूर्वक अपनी पहचान साहित्य के एक विद्यार्थी की ही बनाए रखी। सच तो यह है कि साहित्य में सैद्धान्तिक ही नहीं, व्यावहारिक स्तर पर भी ‘सहृदय’ को, ‘सामाजिक’ को, ‘सहृदय सामाजिक’ को जो सम्मान पं. विद्यानिवास मिश्र ने, उनके साहित्य-कर्म ने दिया, वह अभूतपूर्व है। उनके समग्र रचना-कर्म से इस संचयन में निबन्धों के अलावा उनके रचना-संसार के अल्पज्ञात और अज्ञात कोने-अँतरों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने का प्रयास भी किया गया है। पाठक यहाँ कविता, काव्यान्तर, ध्वनि-रूपक, व्यंग्य-बन्ध, साक्षात्कार, संवाद, व्याख्या, अनुवाद और उनके पत्र-व्यवहार की भी झलक पा सकेंगे। साथ ही विद्वान सम्पादकगण के अथक परिश्रम से यह भी सम्भव हुआ है कि पंडित जी की विराट निबन्ध-सम्पदा का हर रंग, हर रूप इसमें मुखर हो सके।

‘फिर उन्हीं लोगों से’ शीर्षक रचनावली के इस पहले खंड में रघुवीर सहाय की 1946 से 1990 तक की प्रकाशित-अप्रकाशित सम्पूर्ण कविताएँ संकलित हैं। इस खंड में शामिल कविता-संग्रहों के नाम हैं : ‘सीढ़ियों पर धूप में’ (1960), ‘आत्महत्या के विरुद्ध’ (1967), ‘हँसो, हँसो जल्दी हँसो’ (1975 ), ‘लोग भूल गए हैं’ (1982), ‘कुछ पते कुछ चिट्ठियाँ ' (1989) तथा ‘एक समय था’ (1995)। इन संग्रहों के अलावा बाद में मिली कुछ नई अप्रकाशित कविताएँ भी इस खंड में हैं। संग्रह के परिशिष्ट में ‘यह दुनिया बहुत बड़ी है, जीवन लम्बा है', शीर्षक से रघुवीर सहाय की सैकड़ों आरम्भिक कविताएँ संकलित हैं। रघुवीर सहाय ने अपने जीवनकाल में ही अपनी आरम्भिक कविताओं का संग्रह तैयार किया था, लेकिन अब तक यह अप्रकाशित था। कवि के काव्य-विकास को समझने की दृष्टि से यह सामग्री अत्यन्त महत्त्वपूर्ण है। परिशिष्ट में ही रघुवीर सहाय की बरस-दर-बरस ज़िन्दगी का ख़ाक़ा और सैकड़ों वर्षों का उनका वंश-वृक्ष भी दिया गया है। अपने नए कथ्य और शिल्प के कारण रघुवीर सहाय ने हिन्दी कविता को नया रूप दिया है। इस खंड की कविताओं में आप उस नए रूप को आसानी से पहचान सकते हैं।
