It begins by exploring how the' Thuggi and Dacoity' Department, created by the British in 1904, evolved into the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). Its founder, R.N. Kao, is one of the most legendary intelligence figures and has no parallel in the global intelligence community. He outperformed Richard Helms of the CIA and many other contemporaries from MI6 and Mossad while merging a territory of 3000 square miles of Sikkim into Indian territory. There is no other example in global intelligence of how R&AW and its icon, R.N. Kao, executed this task in the face of an imminent threat from China at the border. This book also reveals Kao's heroics in the liberation of Bangladesh, which was a monumental contribution, and unfolds how Article 370 was enacted due to the ego problem of Sheikh Abdullah by Jawaharlal Nehru.
